New Delhi rebuts Pegasus Spyware Allegations| All About Privacy Concerns| Oneindia

A recent forensic investigation by Amnesty International's Security Lab in collaboration with The Washington Post alleges that two Indian journalists, Siddharth Varadarajan and Anand Mangnale, were targeted with Pegasus spyware on their iPhones.

Amnesty's findings reveal a zero-click exploit sent over iMessage to Mangnale's device, aiming to covertly install Pegasus.

While Varadarajan's phone thwarted the attack on October 16, both journalists received threat notifications in October, prompting an ongoing probe by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In).

The spyware, developed by NSO Group, raises concerns about privacy and state-sponsored surveillance.
